Products / Distributed systems / Production platforms
Senior software engineer.
I build products, distributed systems and data platforms that continue to work under production constraints.
More than a decade across Microsoft Office and Azure, from implementation and product delivery through production operation.
Current role: Senior Customer Experience Engineer and technical lead at Microsoft.
01 / Engineering work
Independent engineering work spanning product delivery, backend systems and production constraints.
A private workspace for riding barns with scheduling, barn-scoped access, lesson media and trainer-reviewed AI feedback.
I designed and built the product across application code, data, privacy, deployment and ongoing operations.
A persistence and workflow layer for agents that need durable state, causal lineage and controlled external effects.
The repository includes a runnable recovery scenario, tests and published comparison evidence with explicit tradeoffs.
02 / Professional impact
The examples use public, non-proprietary descriptions of the work and outcomes.
01
Across Microsoft Office engineering, I built data-processing, telemetry, localisation-validation and workflow systems. The work supported distributed publishing and engineering teams across Europe and North America.
Result: software and automation supporting global product workflows.02
Service data was fragmented across several cloud products and difficult to use consistently. I architected shared telemetry ingestion, analytics models and reporting foundations for diagnosis and engineering decisions.
Result: one platform foundation for analysis and reporting across services.03
For Azure services supporting global Microsoft product workflows, I built automation and modernised infrastructure, monitoring and diagnostic tooling. The work reduced manual variation around deployment and operation.
Result: reusable tooling for more consistent service delivery.03 / Experience

04 / About
I started in software, test automation, data processing and telemetry. That foundation taught me to understand a system in detail before changing it.
My work now spans product and backend services, data platforms, high-availability systems and applied AI. I move between architecture, implementation and production diagnosis according to what the problem requires.
05 / Engineering principle
Software engineering continues through deployment and operation. User behaviour and production evidence should shape the next release.
Reliability belongs inside the product design.
06 / Whitepapers
Arguments, evidence and operating models for software that has to work outside the happy path.
What current games and research show about bounded language-model interaction, likely next steps and the design work around them.
